Snowmass Mountain Chalet, Snowmass, Colorado
Another wonderful week at the Snowmass Mountain Chalet! Our ski group, Potomac Valley Skiers, has been coming here for many years. After each trip, we can’t wait until it’s time to come again!
The hotel is very well situated for skiing to the lifts and coming back at the end of the day; for ski storage (at the front door!); for visiting shops in the mall; visiting the medical clinic; skiing back in for a soup, cookie and fruit lunch; and, for relaxing in the pool and/or outdoor hot tub après ski. The bus into Aspen is a short block away and the bus to the grocery a few blocks more.
The atmosphere is comfortable at the Chalet. The staff is friendly, competent and responds to all requests in an accommodating way. If the vans are free, a quick trip here or there is possible. The beds are comfy, the rooms kept clean, the temperature just right. The lounge is a pleasant meeting place for guests, with complimentary hot chocolate, coffee or tea just steps away.
Perhaps this sounds like a marketing tool and, in a way, I guess it is! I almost hesitated to write this accolade because it may make the Chalet too popular. But, if you are looking for a wonderful place to ski or just relax and enjoy the ambience, this is the place!

I was up at Snowmass Mountain Chalet this weekend, and out of a weekend in Snowmass, Aspen and Glenwood, the service I received at Snowmass Mountain Chalet far superseded everywhereelse we went! The front desk staff was accommodating and helpful, giving us information on the events taking place that weekend, and proving us with information in the area. They were friendly and helpful and very accommodating. The room was excellent and very comfortable, and we had a very enjoyable stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone coming up to the area, and would recommend Snowmass over Aspen any day of the week based on the service I had in both areas this weekend! Thanks for a great stay!”
